WARNING!
Add-on accessories such as fish finders, down riggers, rod holders,
anchoring devices, etc. can severely damage your cover and void your
warranty.
Immediately reinforce your cover with the enclosed easy to apply
reinforcement/repair kit in areas where accessories noticeably protrude
when your cover is first installed. Additional reinforcement/repair kits are
available from your dealer.
Reinforcement/Repair Instructions:
1. Open reinforcement/repair kit and spread material over any flat
surface.
If you are repairing your cover, skip to #7, otherwise continue from here.
2. Place boat cover on boat and secure it as if you were going to put the
cover in use. (Note: if you are using cover support poles, straps, or
bows make sure these are in position prior to marking your cover for
reinforcement.
3. Using a piece of chalk, mark the outside of your cover where you want
to place reinforcements. Special attention should be paid to high
stress areas such as windshield corners.
4. Using material from the kit, cut out a piece of material to match each
area you have marked on the outside of the cover.
5. Once all areas have been marked, and pieces have been cut, carefully
remove the cover from the boat and lay the marked side of the cover
toward the floor.
6. Carefully align reinforcement pieces on the opposite side of the cover
from where you made your marks.
7. Cover outer edges of the cut out reinforcement/repair piece with the
provided glue, and carefully apply to the cover.
8. Allow glue to dry for at least four hours before moving. The adhesive
will make a waterproof seal on most surfaces after 72 hours of drying.
9. Additional reinforcement and padding may be needed around trolling
motor propellers.
